Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced simplified procedures to help Umrah pilgrims exit the Kingdom smoothly.
Pilgrims have been advised to stay in touch with their Umrah operators to confirm travel arrangements and complete check-out formalities with their hotels or other accommodations.
The ministry also urged pilgrims to arrange airport transport in advance and arrive at least four hours before their scheduled flights.
Officials reminded that the final date for Umrah visa holders to leave Saudi Arabia is Dhul Qa’dah 1, 1447, which corresponds to April 18, 2026. They warned that anyone remaining in the Kingdom after this date will face strict penalties, including fines, imprisonment, and deportation.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that citizens and residents must not assist, house, employ, or transport pilgrims who overstay their visas. Violators of these rules will face severe punishments including fines, jail terms, and deportation.
Authorities also instructed Umrah service providers to report any cases of overstaying immediately. They cautioned that failure to report such violations will result in financial penalties.
