Over 138,000 students register for MDCAT 2026

More than 138,000 students have registered for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, according to a report on Thursday.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has confirmed that the MDCAT 2026 will take place on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 am, with the exam being held simultaneously across the country.

As per the PMDC, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore will conduct the test in Punjab, while IBA Sukkur has been assigned to manage the examination in Sindh. Khyber Medical University (KMU) will oversee the test in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta, will conduct it in Balochistan.

For candidates from Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Pakistani students appearing from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the test will be organised by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Islamabad.

To make the process easier for students from Balochistan, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will also set up an additional MDCAT examination centre in Islamabad. This facility will be available only for candidates holding a Balochistan domicile.

The PMDC also stated that registration with the regular fee remained open until July 13, while candidates can still apply with a late fee until July 18.
