Vasay Chaudhry Pakistani TV host of comedy programme ‘Mazaqraat’, has recently issued an apology for the “vile and ridiculous” comments made by one of his guests towards Pakistanis living abroad. One of the guest had made fun of expats on the show, alleging that overseas Pakistanis wearing cotton suits boasted about being from abroad. Social media users were outraged by her comments and criticized the host of the show for allowing such a deplorable statement.
Chaudhry took to Twitter to apologise on behalf of his team and expressed his sincere regret to every Pakistani living abroad. He said that tonight’s broadcast will include a formal apology. He also stated that he wanted to express his sincere regret to every Pakistani living abroad. Also stated that even if they might not feel the same way right now, he and his team love them.
