Indus Motor Company introduced the Yaris model to the Pakistani market in 2020, capturing considerable attention despite robust competition within the sedan category.
The Yaris, a five-door vehicle, stands as one of the top-selling options. Aligning with Toyota’s reputation, the Yaris boasts remarkable reliability. Presently, five distinct Yaris variants are on offer in Pakistan.
The design of the Toyota Yaris harmonizes with the overall Toyota lineup. The vehicle’s new iteration presents a larger, more prominent grille with a horizontal slate-like structure. Notably, the LED headlights incorporate L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) seamlessly integrated into the headlamp assembly, reminiscent of the 12th generation Toyota Corolla.
Accentuating the aesthetics, non-functional vertical air curtains are integrated into the lower edge of the redesigned bumper, along with fog lights. The Yaris’s distinctive character line commences at the B-pillar, gently descending and extending around the front fender and door.
The dashboard retains its driver-centric, horizontally oriented design philosophy. The upper dashboard section consists of durable plastic, while areas accessible to the driver and front passenger in the premium variant showcase soft-touch materials.

Toyota Yaris Fuel Average
Regarding fuel efficiency, the Yaris excels in urban settings, achieving an average of 14.9 kilometers per liter with the 1.5-liter engine and 16 kilometers per liter with the 1.3-liter engine. The new 1.5-liter 2NR engine, when paired with a manual gearbox, empowers the Yaris to reach speeds of up to 190 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.2 seconds.
Toyota Yaris Engine
In contrast, the smaller 1.3-liter engine requires around 13 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, slower than its larger 1.5-liter counterpart.
The Yaris offers two engine options: the top two models feature a 1.5-liter engine, while the remaining four variants are equipped with a 1.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine. All Yaris models share a 16-valve DOHC valve train with dual VVT-I technology. Manual variants are furnished with a 5-speed manual gearbox, whereas automatic versions incorporate a sport sequential shiftmatic system alongside a 7-speed CVT.
Ride and Handling
Navigating the 2023 Toyota Yaris is uncomplicated, especially within city confines. The car adeptly handles sharp turns and bends even without relying on sensors. However, its highway performance is lackluster, making it a more suitable choice for urban commuters.
