NEPRA has announced a significant increase in electricity tariffs, imposing an extra Rs2.83 per unit on consumers, effective immediately.
This decision was made over an adjustment in March’s fuel charges, leading to a notable surge in electricity bills this month.
The increased rates are expected to burden consumers with an additional Rs26 billion, making worse the financial strain on households and businesses across the country.
