Lucid Motors, a US-based company, is increasing its production of electric cars in Saudi Arabia. Currently, they assemble cars and make components in Jeddah but plan to start full-scale manufacturing there.
Initially, they aim to produce 5,000 cars yearly, but they want to increase this soon. They’re also introducing their new SUV, the Gravity, in Saudi Arabia after its US launch.

Since opening their plant in September 2023, they’ve made around 50 cars per week. Their goal is to produce about 155,000 cars annually in Saudi Arabia.

This move is a big step for Lucid Motors, marking their first manufacturing site outside the US. They aim to meet the rising demand for electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia and strengthen their presence in the region’s car industry.
