According to rumors reported by English Jagran, a headless man terrifies people in Uttarakhand and was a British Army Officer who roams in the city on a white horse.

As the rumors reported, he fought in the First World War and couldn’t survive, now he is popular with the name “Ghost of Lansdowne’.

Some locals think that Sarkata Bhoot secures the area with his terror and is the reason for the low crime rate in the area.

In ‘Stree 2’, after Stree gets defeated, the Sarkata demon starts terrifying the town and harm women. The filmmakers have not disclosed if the Sarkata demon was based on a real ghost story.

Talking to Film Companion, Rajkummar Rao revealed about the ‘Stree 2’ that “Same world, same people. It’s bigger for sure, same duniya, kuch nahi badla hai, (nothing has changed) I think jo soul this uss film ki vo isme bhi hai.” (the soul remains the same as Stree)

‘Stree 2’ also casts Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana while Tamannah Bhatia is a new addition to the film. Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan made cameo appearances.
