The ongoing Intermediate first annual examinations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been postponed indefinitely following disruptions caused by a lockdown announced by the Public Action Committee.
The decision was taken by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mirpur, which cited concerns about ensuring smooth and secure conduct of the exams in the current situation.
Board officials said the exams have been suspended until further notice and a revised schedule will be issued once conditions improve and normalcy returns to the region.
In its official notice, the board advised students, parents, and educational institutions to stay alert for further updates regarding the new timetable.

Authorities also clarified that new exam dates will be announced only after administrative arrangements are fully restored and conditions are suitable for uninterrupted examinations.
Education sector sources said the postponement is expected to affect thousands of students appearing in the first annual Intermediate exams across Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
