Public holiday declared across Karachi

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced a local holiday on June 8 in connection with the annual Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, allowing municipal employees to enjoy a three-day break alongside the weekend.

According to an official notification issued by the Human Resource Management Department, the holiday will be observed on June 8 (22 Zil Hajj 1447 AH) across Karachi to mark the religious occasion.

All KMC offices will remain closed on the day. However, departments providing essential and emergency services will continue their operations without interruption.
