Ramzan transmission contestant slams anchors live on air

This Ramadan season, famous Pakistani actors are hosting Ramadan transmissions on mainstream television channels, drawing special attention from viewers. The trend of hiring top actors for these shows is driven by the desire to boost ratings.

Audiences are often fascinated by celebrity lifestyles. As a result, Ramadan transmissions become platforms for gossip and entertainment at a large scale while maintaining their traditional religious and spiritual content.

This year, popular actors like Danish Taimoor, Faysal Quraishi, Omer Shahzad, and Bilal Qureshi are among the hosts of these shows. Recently, a clip from Danish Taimoor and Rabia Anam’s Ramadan transmission went viral on social media.

In the clip, a contestant sarcastically evaluated celebrities as Ramadan show hosts. The contestant argues that actors are chosen based on their looks rather than their intelligence or knowledge.

During the debate segment, the contestant said, “If intelligent people were worthy of being praised in this world, Einstein and Newton would have been the hosts of these Ramadan transmissions instead of Rabia Anam and Danish Taimoor.

Daily vloggers would not have been loved by the majority. We always prefer looks over intelligence; people like Danish Taimoor and Rabia Anam because of their good looks and charming personalities.”

He further added, “Being beautiful is better than being intelligent in this world. Beautiful people earn money easily compared to intelligent people. A lecturer spends hours delivering a good lecture but gets limited pay.

Ayeza Khan is a superstar in Pakistan just because she is beautiful. We are often given lectures about ‘Beautiful Hoors of Jannah’ by religious clerics because only beauty matters.”

The contestant’s bold statement sparked a wave of reactions on social media. Many users praised his roasting skills, with some comparing him to the famous Indian roaster CarryMinati. One user commented, “Professional roasting of both the nation and actors.”

Another wrote, “It’s undoubtedly an insult; it is irony.” A Facebook user stated, “Best roast ever. I have never seen such roasting before. Well done, boy.” Others echoed the sentiment, acknowledging the sad truth of society’s preference for beauty over intelligence.

The viral clip has ignited a broader conversation about society’s and the entertainment industry’s priorities. Some applauded the contestant, which reflected the industry’s deeper priorities of valuing appearance over substance.
