Actor Sajid Hasan’s son under investigation for alleged drug supply

A judicial magistrate granted a one-day physical remand of Sahir Hasan, son of actor Sajid Hasan, in a drug supply case linked to the murder of Mustafa Amir and others. Sahir appeared before the magistrate at the Central Jail Judicial Complex.

The police requested a five-day remand to investigate his alleged role in drug trafficking. However, the court only approved a one-day remand, instructing police to provide more evidence in the ongoing search.

Investigators claimed that Sahir was involved in supplying drugs to Karachi’s upscale areas for the past two years. Authorities stated that they had recovered narcotics worth Rs50 million from his possession.

The police are also investigating his possible link to Mustafa Amir’s murder. Preliminary findings suggested that both Mustafa Amir and his suspected killer, Armaghan, were among Sahir’s clients.

Further investigation led to the discovery of an international drug trafficking network. The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) revealed that Sahir confessed the drugs originated from Colombia and entered Pakistan through California.

Reports indicated that shipments reach Islamabad and Lahore via courier services. Two brothers allegedly operated the network through the dark web, while a relative managed the final distribution in Karachi.

The case remains under investigation, and authorities are expected to present further findings at the next court hearing.
