The Redmi 13R 5G was quietly launched in China today and is now open for registration. It boasts a 50 MP AI camera, a 6.74-inch LCD with a 90 Hz refresh rate, and is essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G tailored for the Chinese market.
Equipped with a Dimensity 6100+ chipset, the Redmi 13R 5G comes in a single memory configuration with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. This dual-5G device accommodates two SIM cards and a microSD card in a long tray.
Featuring a sizable 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging support, it’s worth noting that Xiaomi only includes a 10W adapter in the box.
The primary distinction between the Redmi 13C 5G and the Redmi 13R 5G lies in the camera design. The Chinese variant sports a large black rectangle that spans from one side to the other.
The available colors are Black, Green, and Purple, labeled as “Star Trail” internationally but simply referred to as “three dreamy colors” domestically.
Priced at CNY 999 (approximately $140/€130), registrations are currently open on the company’s website. Interested buyers can sign up to receive notifications when pre-orders become available, ensuring they’re among the first to purchase the device.
