- Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 to be unveiled on August 14.
- New Leica camera setup with 15mm ultra wide and 115mm periscope focal lengths.
- Slim profile hinted by CEO; previous model Mix Fold 2 was already known for its slimness at 11.2mm when closed.
Xiaomi’s upcoming Mix Fold 3 is set for a full unveiling on August 14, but the company’s founder and CEO, Lei Jun, has offered an early glimpse into the phone’s refined design. Jun describes the phone in three words: slim, elegant, and premium. These preview photos have been shared on Jun’s Twitter account.

Focusing on the Leica camera setup, the photos reveal the focal lengths of 15mm ultra wide and 115mm periscope at the near and far ends. This represents a significant leap from the previous Mix Fold 2, which featured an 8MP 45mm portrait camera with 2x zoom. Notably, only a few of this year’s horizontal foldable models, like the Google Pixel Fold and Huawei Mate X3, incorporate a periscope camera.
Despite the impressive features, the international availability of the Mix Fold 3 is uncertain, much like the other recent foldable releases. Lei Jun referred to the new model as “slim,” hinting at its slender profile. The 2022 Mix Fold 2 was already known for its slim design at 11.2mm when closed.
