In Makkah, intense rainfall and powerful winds prompted Umrah pilgrims and local residents to urgently seek shelter on Tuesday.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) of the kingdom issued a warning for Wednesday, indicating that the unsettled weather conditions are likely to persist.
Videos shared on social media depict the strong winds sweeping away both pilgrims and cleaning staff at Masjidul Haram, carrying various objects along with them.
