Bollywood actress Triptii Dimri has finally spoken out about the criticism around her “overtly sexualised” image, which has been a topic of discussion following her recent film choices.
In the latest interview with an Indian magazine, Triptii addressed the inspection she has faced since taking on diverse roles, such as Zoya in Animal and Saloni in Bad Newz.
Despite the criticism, the actress remains unapologetic about her decisions.
“I am someone who wants to give 100 percent. If I find the character or the story interesting, I want to give my all. That’s what I’ve learned – if it works, it works, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t,” she stated confidently.

She added, “We won’t always be liked by everybody. There will be some people who like you, and some who don’t. You can’t keep all that noise in mind.
You have to follow your heart and do things that you feel are right. Tomorrow, you may look back and think it was a mistake, but in that moment, you were being truthful.”
When asked if she plans to intentionally steer clear of the “overtly sexualised” image associated with her recent roles, Triptii explained, “I am going with the flow.
The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go to a set and feel bored. I don’t want to show up and think, ‘I know this.’
She continued, “I want to feel challenged, to wonder, ‘How will this happen?’—and then make it happen. I need to feel satisfied as an actor when I go home.”
Triptii clarified that her motivation for taking on roles like Zoya in Animal and Vidya in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video was simply her desire to experiment and portray something different on screen.
Reflecting on her professional milestones, Triptii had a remarkable year in 2024, delivering three consecutive box office hits: Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Looking ahead, she has an exciting lineup of films, including Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara opposite Shahid Kapoor, and Dharma Productions’ Dhadak 2 alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi.
There is also speculation about her involvement in Kartik Aaryan’s Aashiqui 3, though the makers have yet to confirm her participation.
