Toyota Century SUV to Challenge Mercedes GLS in 2023
The latest teaser unveils a robust body with chrome accents and distinctive J-shaped taillights, confirming the arrival of Toyota’s new SUV.
Enthusiasts familiar with Toyota’s history will connect the Century name to its luxury lineage, particularly the 2018 third-gen model (G60). Reports hint at the potential use of a hybridized 2UR-FSE 5.0-liter V8 engine boasting 430 horsepower for the Century SUV.
This upcoming SUV is anticipated to be built on the Toyota New Global Architecture platforms – GA-K or GA-L – featuring a hybrid powertrain. While GA-K underpins models like Alphard, Vellfire, Lexus LM, RX, and TX, GA-L is employed by the latest Crown and LS.
Rumors speculate a price of approximately Rs. 31 million in Japan, suggesting a potential competition against luxury SUVs like Mercedes GLS, BMW X7, and Audi Q8. Toyota enthusiasts can look forward to a fusion of opulence and performance in this much-anticipated SUV.
Toyota Motor Corporation will be live on 5th September to show the new car Presentation.
