Lahore – Suzuki Alto is gaining popularity in Pakistan, especially in Punjab, because of its appealing appearance and fuel efficiency, which are particularly attractive features given the high petrol prices in the country.
The car’s demand is also rising due to its cost-effective maintenance, the availability of parts, and a widespread service network throughout Pakistan.
When purchasing a new vehicle, there are mandatory payments, including taxes, that need to be made to the government. One of these taxes is the token tax.
Suzuki Alto Token Tax in Punjab
In Punjab, the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department is responsible for collecting various taxes and duties, including the motor vehicle token tax, across the province.
For the new Suzuki Alto, which comes with a 3-cylinder 660cc engine, the excise department collects a one-time token tax from owners. This amounts to Rs15,000 for each Alto unit.
