In London, Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has received encouraging news regarding his health. His annual checkup, including various cancer-related tests, was conducted, and the results have shown no signs of cancer recurrence.
Shehbaz Sharif, who was diagnosed with the rare and dangerous “Adenocarcinoid” cancer in 2000, has been closely monitored by Dr. Martyn Caplin, a renowned cancer specialist and Professor of Gastroenterology and GI Tumour Neuroendocrinology.
His ongoing visits for regular checkups in London have been a part of his medical routine since his treatment at Sloane Kettering Hospital in New York in 2003, where New York doctors recommended regular checkups with Dr. Caplin.
A source at Wellington Hospital, St John’s Wood, where Shehbaz Sharif has been receiving medical care, shared the positive update, stating that Dr. Martyn Caplin confirmed that Shehbaz Sharif is cancer-free, with no signs of recurrence.
Additionally, the former Chief Minister of Punjab has scheduled back-spine-related checkups on Harley Street at a clinic he regularly visits. It’s important to note that Shehbaz Sharif plans to return to Pakistan once these upcoming non-cancer-related checkups are completed in approximately ten days.
While in London, Shehbaz Sharif took the opportunity to meet with his elder brother and PML-N supremo, Nawaz Sharif, to discuss significant political developments leading up to the general elections. He also shared that Nawaz Sharif is expected to return to Pakistan in October this year.
During his stay in London, both Sharif brothers had a meeting with Mahnoor Cheema, a top scorer in the GCSE and a world record holder.
