The UAE celebrates women’s contribution to the nation’s progress by marking Emirati Women’s Day. The International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) has announced that Rekha, widely celebrated as the “Queen of Indian Cinema,” will return to the stage this year. Rekha will perform at the IIFA Awards 2024.
The IIFA award will be held on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi from 27 to 29 September. The event is being organized under the supervision of Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
Rekha is known for her extraordinary talent, acting skills, on-screen presence, and significant impact on shows, which highlight her contributions and achievements. Through her skills, she has influenced her generation and made a strong and positive impact in Bollywood.
She expressed her heartfelt feelings about her return to the stage and said, “IIFA holds a special place in my heart. It is not just a celebration of Indian cinema, but a vibrant blend of art, culture, and love on a global stage. It feels like home, a showcase where the magic of Indian cinema truly comes to life.”
