The makers of the blockbuster movie Pushpa 2 revealed that the release date of Pushpa 2 reloaded version has been delayed just a day after its announcement.
The blockbuster, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, originally hit theatres on December 5 and got massive success at the box office.
Mythri Movie Makers had earlier confirmed that the reloaded version, featuring an additional 20 minutes of new content, would premiere on January 11.
“#Pushpa2TheRule RELOADED VERSION with 20 minutes of added footage will play in cinemas from January 11. The WILDFIRE gets extra FIERY!” the studio announced on Instagram.
However, they later updated fans, citing “technical delays” as the reason for pushing the release date to January 17. “Due to technical delays in processing the content, the reloaded version of Pushpa 2 The Rule is delayed. It will now screen in theaters from 17th January instead of 11th January as planned earlier. Happy Sankranthi, everyone! The extended version will be worth the wait with additional whistle-worthy moments. The wildfire gets more fiery,” they wrote on X.
Pushpa 2 is directed by Sukumar, has emerged its place as 2024’s biggest cinematic success, surpassing an astonishing INR 1800 crore worldwide.
Moreover, the movie became the first Hindi-dubbed version to cross the INR 800 crore.
Allu Arjun returns as the charismatic Pushpa Raj alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in this electrifying sequel.
