The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) provided an update on Naseem Shah’s health, revealing that the fast bowler has commenced the final phase of rehabilitation at Lahore’s National Cricket Academy.
Naseem, who suffered a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup, underwent surgery in the UK in October and stayed for two months for rehabilitation and training.
The PCB covered his medical expenses, and now, under the supervision of a coaching team, Naseem is engaged in light gym exercises and partial bowling practice, with batting set to start soon.
In a significant development, Naseem Shah, previously with Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has joined Islamabad United in a notable swap deal.
This move sparked discussions within the cricket community, with franchises vying for the 20-year-old’s talents. Islamabad United secured Naseem’s signature in the swap, gaining Quetta’s third-round Platinum pick in exchange for Islamabad’s first-round pick.
Despite rumors linking Naseem to other teams like Multan Sultans or Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad emerged victorious in the race for the young pacer.
