A significant blaze has broken out at numerous furniture stores beneath an apartment complex near the Ayesha Manzil area in Karachi, prompting ongoing efforts to bring the fire under control.
Presently, seven fire engines are engaged in the operation, while rescue personnel work diligently to evacuate residents from the affected building.
SSP Central Danial Syed provided details to the media, noting that the fire has begun spreading to the upper levels of the building, which houses residential flats.

He explained that the incident originated in a mattress store and subsequently expanded to nearby shops.
In the midst of the crisis, it has been reported that one individual sustained severe injuries and has been promptly transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Mayor of Karachi and PPP leader Murtaza Wahab Siddique, speaking to X, assured the public, stating, “Fire brigade team is present on the ground to address the fire situation at Ayesha Manzil.
A snorkel is also on-site to facilitate potential evacuations from the roof if necessary. I will provide regular updates to keep everyone informed.”
