Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted hot and arid conditions for the majority of the nation, including the provincial hub Lahore, over the next 24 hours. The PMD has indicated that Lahore is unlikely to receive any rainfall.
As for Lahore’s temperature today, the mercury climbed to 36°C around noon, with expectations of a slight dip to 34°C in the evening. The humidity level in the city stood at approximately 47%, accompanied by winds blowing at a speed of 18km/h.
Lahore’s air quality on Wednesday was rated at 145, falling into the unhealthy category. This means that sensitive groups could experience immediate health effects, while even healthy individuals might encounter difficulties in breathing and throat irritation with prolonged outdoor exposure. It is advisable to limit outdoor activities under these conditions.
In terms of the synoptic situation, dry weather is anticipated across most parts of the country, with humidity prevailing in the plain areas for the next twelve hours. However, there is a possibility of rain, wind, or thundershowers occurring at isolated locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
