Mercury is set to decrease in Karachi starting tomorrow, following sea breezes bringing relief to residents who tolerate burning temperatures reaching a maximum of 38.2°C today, as per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts on Thursday.
The PMD’s weather report indicates that humidity levels hovered around 30% during the daytime, with temperatures expected to decline in the port city from tomorrow onwards.
Nevertheless, Karachi can still expect hot and humid weather, with temperatures ranging between 34°C to 36°C expected tomorrow.
The weather forecast highlights the frequency of continental air across much of the country. A shallow westerly wave is projected to move into western Balochistan tonight, likely impacting the upper regions of the country by May 3rd.
Dry weather is likely over most parts of the country, although blowing winds and windstorms are expected in Sindh and southern Balochistan.

The westerly wave is expected to bring rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), northern Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Kashmir, and the Pothohar region.
Additionally, gusty winds and windstorms are forecasted for southern Punjab and upper Sindh during Friday evening and night.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded today were 42°C in Mithi and 41°C in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Dadu, and Lasbella, according to the weather department.
