The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts more rain and isolated hailstorms in Karachi, Hyderabad, and parts of Sindh on Friday evening and Saturday due to a strong westerly wave affecting most parts of Pakistan.
The weather system is expected to persist in upper parts until Sunday. Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in various cities, with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms likely in lower Sindh.
These heavy rains may lead to urban flooding and damage to structures. Minimum temperatures in Karachi and Hyderabad are predicted to be between 15-18 degrees Celsius.
Dry weather prevailed in most districts of Sindh over the last 24 hours, with some areas receiving scattered rains. Jacobabad received 12mm of rain, while Larkana received 3mm.
Mohenjo-Daro recorded the coldest temperature at 12°C with 84% relative humidity. Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 18°C with 65% relative humidity, and Hyderabad recorded a minimum temperature of 18°C with 67% relative humidity.
