- Magic V2 foldable smartphone introduced, but global pricing and availability details remain undisclosed.
- Magic V2 boasts slim profile and light weight, currently available only in China.
During IFA 2023 in Berlin, Honor hosted a keynote presentation. The smartphone manufacturer introduced the V Purse concept, an outward-folding smartphone that doubles as a clutch handbag.
However, the majority of the event was dedicated to Honor CEO George Zhao’s unveiling of the Magic V2 foldable smartphone to a global audience. While the presentation highlighted key features of the phone, crucial details were conspicuously absent. Information regarding the Magic V2’s pricing outside of China and its availability timeline remained undisclosed.
The Honor Magic V2 boasts an exceptionally slim profile, surpassing all other foldables in this aspect, and a weight lighter than some flagship bar-style phones. Our firsthand experience with the device during its launch in China left us impressed by its ergonomics, considering its large internal screen and a robust 5,000 mAh battery.
As of now, the Magic V2 is exclusively available in China. It is anticipated that Honor will follow up this event with an official Magic V2 launch where availability specifics will likely be addressed. However, the timing of this launch remains uncertain.
