Gold prices in Pakistan took a sharp decline recently, with a drop of Rs1,100 on Wednesday.
This decrease affected both 24-karat gold, which fell to Rs214,800 per tola, and 10 grams of 24-karat gold, now priced at Rs184,156, down by Rs944. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold also saw a dip, reaching Rs168,810.
These changes are closely tied to fluctuations in the US Dollar’s value, highlighting the connection between currency values and gold prices. This demonstrates how global economic factors influence local gold markets.
On the other hand, the price of 24-karat silver remained steady at Rs2,570. Internationally, the global gold price decreased by $8, reaching $2,048 per ounce.
It’s important to note that gold rates in Pakistan can fluctuate significantly throughout the day due to global market trends. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it’s recommended to consult local gold merchants and jewelers.
