- Gal Gadot’s candid revelation.
- Injuries from demanding action scenes.
- Her love for fight sequences.
In a recent interview with The Sun, the Wonder Woman star candidly mentioned, “I had plenty of bruises.” She went on to recall a particular incident while walking with her daughters in a London park when she noticed the curious glances of passersby. Unbeknownst to her, her legs and back were covered in bruises as she wore a summer dress.
“I was with my daughters, and people were looking at me like something was off,” She continued.
Gadot revealed that she endured four slipped discs in her neck and back due to demanding fight scenes in the Netflix film. She explained, “It’s inevitable I have a number of injuries from those physical roles. I have two neck herniations and two back herniations. It’s part of the job, unfortunately.”
Despite the challenges, Gadot shared her genuine enjoyment of performing fight scenes and hand-to-hand combat, likening it to dancing. She believed that these sequences allowed her to express herself using her body, emphasizing, “The fight scenes are the one thing we do where I feel really in control.”
For context, Gal Gadot had to complete two years of mandatory military service in her home country after winning the title of Miss Israel in 2004. Her prowess in combat was first showcased on screen in 2009 when she portrayed the action-packed character Gisele Yashar in “Fast & Furious.” Gadot continued to perform her own stunts in subsequent films like “Fast Five” (2011) and “Fast & Furious 6” (2013).
“Heart of Stone” is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
