The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for rain and thunderstorms in northeast Punjab, including Lahore, due to a prevailing westerly wave over the upper parts of the country.

The advisory indicates that there will be partly cloudy weather in the upper parts of the province, with the possibility of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in various regions during the night.
Temperature For Lahore
In Lahore, the temperature at noon was 23°C with hazy sunshine and light winds. The maximum UV Index was recorded at 3, indicating moderate conditions, and visibility was around 3km.
Despite administrative measures, the air quality in the city was recorded at over 200, which is considered dangerous. Experts warn that even brief exposure to such air can have serious health effects.
The weather in other parts of Pakistan is also influenced by the westerly wave, resulting in partly cloudy conditions in most upper parts of the country.
The Potohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are expected to experience rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall over the hills during the night, with the possibility of hailstorms at isolated places.
Fog Update
Additionally, smog and fog are likely in central and southern parts of Punjab, as well as upper Sindh during morning hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
