On Sunday, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab officially opened the city’s first-ever zipline at Safari Park, taking a thrilling ride alongside Deputy Mayor Salman Murad. During the event, Mayor Karachi shared his excitement, believing that the zipline would become a unique attraction for the residents of Karachi.
Despite financial challenges causing delays in various projects, he expressed his vision of creating more recreational spots within the city.
Deputy Mayor Karachi also spoke about ongoing development initiatives across all seven districts of Karachi and announced plans to introduce horse riding at Dino Safari Park in the near future.
The zipline project was initially mentioned in August when Mayor Karachi inaugurated the dinosaur park in Safari Park, stating that the zipline would soon be operational.
It’s important to note that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had announced last year its intention to launch a zipline at Bagh Ibne Qasim near Clifton’s coastline.
The announcement was made by the then City Administrator, Murtaza Wahab, who currently serves as the Mayor of Karachi. However, the zipline is still pending installation at Bagh Ibne Qasim.
