Fawad Khan, at the grand music launch of his Bollywood comeback film Abir Gulaal, expressed gratitude for compliments on his appearance but told fans to focus on the importance of his work.
“It’s flattering to receive praise for my looks, but I hope viewers focus on the story, dialogue, and acting,” he said. The event took place at the iconic Dubai Mall. The star-studded event featured the film’s cast.
The team included co star Vaani Kapoor and crew members led by director Aarti S Bagdi. The romantic comedy marks Fawad’s return to Bollywood after an eight year break. He spoke about his co stars foundly.
Fawad shared, “I’ve worked with many talented actresses. It’s not just about beauty, but their inner grace and character that truly matters.” Discussing the plotline of the film, Fawad added, “This is not the kind of intense movie that makes your mind spin. It’s meant to be a refreshing escape, full of love and laughter.”
The film’s music, developed by Amit Trivedi, already clicked with the audiences. The music album is available on digital platforms even before the release, boosting the film’s lively and emotional narrative.
Vivek Agrawal, Avantika Hari, Rakesh Sippy, and Firuzi Khan produced the film. It shows dazzling cinematography by Tribhuvan Babu Sadineni, catching the full glamour of London. Through the film, the directors aim to revive the magic of romance in theaters.
Set in London, Abir Gulaal tells the story of Abir Singh, a self-made restaurateur, and Gulaal, a vibrant chef. Directed by Bagdi and co-written by Meghna Singhee, the film features music by Amit Trivedi and is set to release worldwide on May 9, 2025.
