82 candidates who were previously backed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have now joined the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC).
These candidates, including nine from the Sindh Assembly, have submitted their party certificates to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Additionally, the SIC has requested the submission of a priority list for reserved seats.
In other news, PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has called for the resignation of ECP Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja amidst ongoing political controversies.
Khan emphasized the need for transparent accountability in the wake of alleged election irregularities, expressing dissatisfaction with the performance of the ECP.
He also mentioned negotiations with the Sunni Ittehad Council, indicating that an agreement has been reached and that a list of 50 MNAs has been submitted to the ECP.
Furthermore, Khan advocated for the protection of former commissioner Liaquat Chatta and his family.
