In Islamabad, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Jiang Zaidong, has arrived to officially take up his new role.
This announcement was made by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan via the social media platform X. The embassy conveyed that on September 5, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong landed in Islamabad and received a warm welcome from Pakistani officials as well as representatives from the Embassy.
Ambassador Jiang is dedicated to strengthening the unwavering friendship and all-weather strategic cooperation between China and Pakistan, as stated by the embassy. It is reported that Mr. Zaidong will proceed to present his credentials to President Arif Alvi, thereby formalizing his position and responsibilities as the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan.
Mr. Jiang Zaidong is a seasoned diplomat within China’s diplomatic service, and his appointment followed the return of the former Ambassador, Mr. Nong Rong, to China in January earlier this year.
