Passengers aboard a British Airways flight traveling from Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport to London Heathrow Airport were in for an unexpected meal, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). However, the airline had not planned for this meal option.
The inconvenience arose due to a catering problem at Providenciales International Airport, the flight’s origin. The catering carts on the aircraft were not properly cooled, leading to the disposal of all the food as a precaution against potential food poisoning.
The issue impacted not just the food from Providenceales to Nassau but also the entire eight-hour and 25-minute flight from Nassau to London. Passengers expressed their frustration and disappointment through social media and various media outlets.
