Abu Dhabi’s Centre for Legal and Community Awareness, Masouliya, has initiated a three-month campaign against domestic violence named ‘Violence’ the end of family stability.
The goal is to spread awareness about the harmful impacts of domestic violence and to educate people about prevention methods, family rights, obligations, and the consequences for offenders.
Using social media and various media platforms, Masouliya intends to share information on domestic violence.
Dr. Mohammad Rashid Al Dhanhani, the director, emphasized the significance of family stability, underscoring its crucial role in societal advancement and children’s upbringing.
The campaign stresses the importance of fostering family communication and a culture of respect, especially in the age of social media, to promote healthy family bonds.
UAE’s domestic violence law is comprehensive, covering acts, statements, or threats that harm individuals’ physical, mental, or sexual well-being, with a particular emphasis on safeguarding individuals within family settings.
