In a much-anticipated collaboration, Pakistani pop sensation Abrar-ul-Haq and acclaimed actress Iman Ali are all set to transport fans back to the golden era of music with their latest project. The two celebrated artists of the Pakistani entertainment industry are joining forces to create a new Punjabi song titled “Rano,” which is expected to dominate the music charts.
Abrar-ul-Haq, renowned for his vocal prowess, was presented with several options for the star of the music video. Ultimately, Iman Ali, known for her on-screen charm and versatility, was chosen for the role. Abrar praised Ali’s impeccable acting skills, emphasizing that she is a capable and dedicated artist.
Iman Ali has previously graced music videos with her presence, including Abrar’s “Sanoon Tere Naal” from his album “Main Gudi Aap Chalawan Ga,” Shabnam Majeed’s iconic “Ishq Mohabbat Apna Pan,” and Shehzad Roy and Zoe Viccaji’s “Jind Jaan.”
Director Asad Mumtaz revealed that in the music video, Iman Ali will portray the character of Rano from Chandigarh. Principal shooting for the video is scheduled to commence in Lahore in September.
Addressing the question of whether Rano would be portrayed as a typical traditional playful Punjabi girl, Mumtaz explained that the era of typecasting lead roles with stereotypical portrayals is passé. He promised that their music video would be set in a unique context with an original storyline.
