Gold prices in Pakistan increased further, with the price reaching Rs487,136 per tola after rising by Rs4,200 during the day, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs3,601, reaching Rs417,640. On Saturday, gold had closed at Rs482,936 per tola after gaining Rs5,700.
Gold prices also moved higher in the international market. The global rate rose by $42 to $4,646 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
The increase in international gold prices contributed to the rise in local rates. Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs7,379 per tola.
