Benazir Bhutto General Hospital (BBGH) has taken steps to improve its healthcare services by opening an emergency dialysis centre, making two additional operation theatres operational and starting work on a public facilitation hall.
The new emergency dialysis centre is equipped with five machines to provide urgent treatment to patients in critical condition. Hospital officials said the facility would help patients receive dialysis on time without having to wait for routine arrangements.
The hospital has also added two dialysis machines to its Urology Department, bringing the total number to 15. Three machines are currently undergoing maintenance, while two separate machines have been reserved for patients suffering from hepatitis.

Meanwhile, two new operation theatres in the Urology Department have started functioning after the hospital arranged the required staff. The theatres were established with a donation from Haji Naeem of Savour Foods and are expected to help reduce waiting times for patients requiring surgery.
Construction of a public facilitation hall has also begun with financial support from the Dr Aslam Foundation. The facility is being built for the first time at the hospital to help patients and their attendants get information about treatment and other available services.
BBGH Medical Superintendent Dr Sharjeel Sarfraz Sheikh said the new hall would make it easier for patients and their attendants to access healthcare services and receive the guidance they need during hospital visits.
