Pakistan introduces THIS new system for pensioners

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced a new digital verification system for pensioners that uses facial recognition technology, allowing them to complete the process from home instead of visiting banks, according to the report.

Speaking during the National Assembly session, the finance minister said the initiative is aimed at making the verification process easier for elderly pensioners. With the new system, they will be able to confirm their identity through facial recognition without leaving their homes.

Muhammad Aurangzeb said this facility will enable pensioners to complete their verification from the comfort of their homes.

While discussing the federal budget, the minister said the government has introduced a range of measures to expand the tax base. He added that increasing the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence to eliminate discretionary powers remains one of the government’s main priorities.
