Gold prices in Pakistan rise for 6th consecutive day

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Tuesday, marking a sixth consecutive increase as international gold prices also moved higher.

The price of gold has risen by Rs31,800 per tola since August 5.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold increased by Rs2,400 per tola to reach Rs459,736. The price of 10-gram gold also went up by Rs2,050, reaching Rs394,149.

On Monday, gold prices had increased by Rs. 800, taking the per tola rate to Rs457,366. In the international market, gold gained $24 to reach $4,373 per ounce.

Silver prices also recorded an increase on Tuesday but remained below the Rs7,000 mark. The price of silver rose by Rs62 to reach Rs6,965 per tola.
