Flight operations across Pakistan faced major disruption due to rising tensions in the Middle East. Sources reported that 70 round-trip flights from five key international airports to different Middle Eastern cities were canceled today.
Among the affected carriers were Pakistan International Airlines, Airblue, Air Arabia, Fly Jinnah, Iran Air and Qatar Airways.
Karachi Airport was hit the hardest, with 26 round-trip flights canceled. These included routes to Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Jeddah, Dammam, Sharjah, Medina, Muscat, Riyadh, Najaf, Bahrain and Dubai.
Islamabad Airport recorded 24 cancellations, covering flights to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain, Riyadh, Dammam and Doha. Lahore Airport saw only two flights canceled, both heading to Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

In Peshawar, eight round-trip flights to Dubai, Doha, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi were called off. Sialkot Airport experienced four cancellations on routes to Dubai and Sharjah.
According to airport sources, the situation has been ongoing for weeks. Over the past 35 days, a total of 2,670 flights between Pakistan and Middle Eastern destinations have been canceled, causing significant disruption to travel plans across the country.
