Police seize 80kg of dead chicken meat in Karachi

Karachi police and the Sindh Food Authority (SFA) carried out a joint operation in the city’s Gulberg area, seizing around 80 kilograms of dead chicken meat, officials confirmed on Sunday.

According to Geo News, the spoiled chicken was being supplied to different eateries across Karachi. Gulberg police arrested two men from Moosa Colony during the raid and recovered 80 kilograms of expired chicken from their possession.

The FIR stated that police acted on a tip-off about a storage site containing large quantities of dead chicken meat. The raid was conducted with SFA officials just as the suspects were preparing to transport the meat to various parts of the city.

Investigators said the men had been selling the dead chicken to food vendors, biryani shops, and restaurants throughout Karachi. Authorities have launched a detailed inquiry into the matter.
