The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has begun auctioning several prominent properties linked to real estate tycoon Malik Riaz.
Earlier this week, the Islamabad High Court permitted NAB to move forward with the sale of Bahria Town assets.
As reported, Bahria Town’s Corporate Office II, located at Plot No. 7-D on Park Road in Phase II, Rawalpindi, was sold for Rs880.6 million.
In addition, the Rubaish Marquee & Lawn, situated near the Bahria Garden City Golf Course in Islamabad, fetched Rs508.3 million.
Together, the sale of these two assets has already brought in more than Rs. 1.3 billion. The total is expected to increase further as the auction of additional properties continues.
The auction remains in progress, and officials anticipate that all the listed properties will be sold by the end of the day.
