Eidul Adha 2025 being celebrated in Saudi Arabia & other countries

Eidul Adha is being observed today with deep religious spirit in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and several Gulf countries.

Thousands of Muslims gathered for special Eid prayers at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, where Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly led the prayer and delivered the sermon.

Similar prayer gatherings took place at Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as in Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria, where interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa joined worshippers at the Grand Mosque in Damascus.

As part of the Hajj rituals, pilgrims moved from Muzdalifah to Mina for the symbolic stoning of the devil, followed by animal sacrifice, shaving of heads, and changing out of Ihram, before heading to Makkah for Tawaf al-Ziyarah and Sa’i.

In cities across the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, Eid prayers were held in mosques and open prayer grounds.

Some regions in Europe and North America are also celebrating Eid today, while others will mark it tomorrow, leading to split observances across communities in countries like the US, UK, and Canada.

In Pakistan, the Bohra community is observing Eid today as well, with prayers held in parts of Karachi such as Saddar, Pakistan Chowk, Hyderi, and Baloch Colony.
