Gold prices climb again, hitting new highs in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp rise on Saturday, following a strong surge in the international bullion market.

The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs5,300, pushing the per tola rate to Rs444,162.

The 10-gram price also went up by Rs4,544, landing at Rs380,797. This jump came after two steady days, during which gold was priced at Rs438,862 per tola on Friday.

Globally, spot gold rose by $53 to reach $4,218 per ounce, including a $20 premium, showing growing investor interest.

Silver also experienced an uptick, with the per tola price increasing by Rs267 to settle at Rs5,909 in the local market.
