KARACHI:A massive fire broke out in a fireworks factory near MA Jinnah Road on Thursday, leaving at least 26 people injured after a series of explosions shook the area.
Witnesses reported that thick black smoke could be seen from several kilometers away as the flames quickly spread inside the factory. The force of the blasts shattered windows in nearby buildings, injuring both residents and passersby.
Rescue teams, firefighters, and police rushed to the scene, launching an operation to bring the fire under control. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Authorities have sealed off the area while firefighting efforts continue, though the cause of the blaze is still unknown.
Residents have voiced concerns about the presence of factories in crowded neighborhoods and called for stricter safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future.
