The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,000 per tola on Thursday, reaching Rs357,200 compared to Rs355,200 a day earlier, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs1,715 to Rs306,241 from Rs304,526, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs1,573 to Rs280,731 from Rs279,158.
Silver prices also went up, with per tola rising by Rs78 to Rs4,013 and 10 grams by Rs67 to Rs3,440.
On the global front, gold prices slipped by $20, falling to $3,325 per ounce, while silver gained $0.78 to trade at $37.80 per ounce.
