The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has introduced a fixed schedule for gas supply in Sindh and Balochistan to help maintain steady availability during the winter months.
As per SSGC, the Director General of Gas has instructed that both provinces will receive gas from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day.
Officials said that areas with low gas pressure must be closely monitored during morning briefings, and any issues should be addressed without delay. They added that failure to address pressure issues will result in action against the zonal heads responsible.
Meanwhile, earlier reports indicated that gas prices for consumers in Sindh and Balochistan may go up. SSGC has submitted a request to OGRA seeking an increase of Rs125.41 per MMBTU for the current financial year.
If the request is approved, the average gas price in the two provinces would rise to Rs1,783.96 per MMBTU.
