Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Thursday, following a decline in the international market. The rate per tola dropped by Rs4,100 to Rs384,000, marking the first decrease this month.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 10-gram gold also slipped by Rs3,515, bringing it down to Rs329,218.
This fall came after a day of stability on Wednesday, when prices held at Rs388,100 following Tuesday’s record high.
Globally, gold prices tumbled as well, with the rate per ounce falling by $36 to $3,618, including a $20 premium, according to APGJSA.
Silver prices in the local market also edged down, with the per tola rate reduced by Rs32 to Rs4,326.
