The Metro Bus Service in the twin cities will remain closed for the entire day on April 11 following official instructions linked to ongoing international activities in the federal capital.
The Red Metro Bus Service, which had already been partly suspended between Saddar Station and PIMS during the last two days, will now stay fully shut for passengers.
Authorities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have also announced a local holiday on April 11 as part of wider administrative and security preparations ahead of important international meetings being held in Islamabad.
Officials stated that although public transport services will be suspended, essential departments such as municipal services, law enforcement, and utility providers will continue their duties as usual. Hospitals and emergency services will remain fully active to make sure the public continues to receive necessary assistance.
